“Angry” Derrick Van Orden has spent this week complaining that he isn’t “getting the credit [he] deserve[s]” for his record in Washington.
Once again, DVO is completely out-of-touch with reality.
Before he takes the stage this evening to lie more, here’s your reminder of everything that Wisconsinites will credit DVO with as they fire him this November:
- DVO is making health care more expensive and harder to access. He voted to gut Medicaid, jeopardized rural health care, threatened to defund the Mayo Clinic, and is still crusading to eliminate the Affordable Care Act.
- DVO will claim that he delivered funding for rural health care, but the math doesn’t lie — he decimated rural health care.
- “Projections shared by KFF last summer showed Wisconsin losing $7 billion in federal Medicaid cuts over 10 years,” meaning $700 million in cuts per year.
- DVO brags about bringing $203 million in health care funding to Wisconsin – that’s a shortfall of nearly $500 million dollars he thinks Wisconsin families should be grateful for.
- And WI-03 hospitals alone are “projected to lose more than $42 million in annual revenue.”
- “Projections shared by KFF last summer showed Wisconsin losing $7 billion in federal Medicaid cuts over 10 years,” meaning $700 million in cuts per year.
- DVO took campaign cash from health insurers and Big Pharma, and opposed lowering prescription drug costs. He supported undermining protections for people with preexisting conditions.
- DVO voted to send billions overseas to the war in Iran that’s driving up fuel and fertilizer costs. Diesel prices hit a record high.
- DVO backs the tariffs hurting Wisconsin farmers and driving up prices.

“Derrick Van Orden is out-of-touch with Wisconsin, he serves his party bosses and the special interests while everyone else gets left behind. His vote gutting health care, siding with his insurance and Big Pharma donors, and funneling tax breaks to the special interests all show he doesn’t give a damn about Wisconsinites.”
