National Journal’s newest House Power Rankings listed Derrick Van Orden in the Top 9 most vulnerable Republicans in the country – the latest indication that WI-03 is a toss-up race thanks to Van Orden’s record of failing Wisconsin families.
“Van Orden underperformed the president by more than 4 points, making this seat—historically held by a Democrat—a top target for Democrats.”
Van Orden’s ranking comes as he has spent his time in Congress rubber-stamping a cost-spiking agenda, defending Trump’s chaotic tariffs, failing to deliver year-round E15, raising health care costs and slashing rural hospital funding, and putting his D.C. bosses before Wisconsin.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Derrick Van Orden has a disastrous record of putting billionaires and his party bosses before hardworking Western Wisconsin families. Wisconsinites see that Van Orden has broken his promises and left them behind, and they’re ready to fire him and elect Rebecca Cooke this November.”
