Steil Will Fall in Line with D.C. Party Bosses to Pass National Abortion Ban
Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision – a decision that Bryan Steil has spent years working to overturn, to rip away women’s freedoms to make their own health care choices.
Quite literally, in fact: Steil signed on to the amicus brief pushing for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.

- Steil signed the amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and then celebrated the Dobbs decision as a “victory for life.”
- Steil voted to jail doctors and nurses who provide reproductive health care.
- Steil supported defunding abortion care for U.S. servicemembers.
- Steil voted for a backdoor effort to pressure states with established legal protections into gradually stripping away abortion rights.
- Steil’s campaign website described him as “proudly pro-life and detailed his support for legislation that would ban abortion – before he edited it earlier this year in a clear effort to “downplay [his] staunchly anti-abortion views.”
