Events in Green Bay and Milwaukee to Highlight Future of Wisconsin’s Economy, Workforce, and Thriving Communities
Green Bay and Milwaukee, Wis. – Kicking off a celebration of Women’s History Month, members of Governor Evers’ majority-woman cabinet will be holding two upcoming panel discussions highlighting key topics and ongoing initiatives in support of Wisconsin economy, workforce, and thriving communities. The events will feature DOA Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld, representatives from other state agencies, and will be moderated by Jeanne Duffy, Wisconsin Women’s Council Executive Director, highlighting the impact of Governor Evers’ investments and focus on family-supporting jobs, and policies that ensure Wisconsin’s economy works for everyone.
“Women’s History Month is a great opportunity to celebrate Wisconsin women, reflect on and highlight their achievements and contributions to our state, and recognize the strides women have made throughout our state’s and our country’s history. As governor, it’s a privilege to work alongside so many extraordinary women every day, including my cabinet secretaries and appointees, my staff, and workers across state government, who are doing amazing work to get good things done for the people of our state,” said Gov. Evers. “I’m incredibly proud of our work to support women and girls across Wisconsin, and I’m excited members of my cabinet are hitting the road to talk about all of that good work and the work we still have left to do. Wisconsin women have the grit, gumption, and determination to get it done, and it’s great to be able to celebrate them all year round, and especially this month.”
“The future of Wisconsin is tied firmly to the future of women in this state,” said DOA Secretary Blumenfeld. “As we celebrate the Year of the Neighbor and Women’s History Month, we honor the legacy and resolve of Wisconsin women and what’s possible when women have a seat at the table. We look forward to engaging in these important conversations around what the future of Wisconsin’s economy, workforce, and thriving communities can look like.”

- Wisconsin Department of Transportation Secretary Kristina Boardman
- Wisconsin Department of Tourism Secretary Anne Sayers, and
- Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Secretary Amy Pechacek
The Future of Women and Wisconsin’s Thriving Communities, March 24, 2026, at Concordia 27 in Milwaukee, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the following panelists:
- Wisconsin Department of Administration Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld,
- Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary Kirsten Johnson,
- Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Secretary Karen Hyun,
- Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Secretary Amy Pechacek, and
- Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority Deputy Director Leana Nakielski Mesdjian.
