The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has updated the number of measles cases associated with the outbreak in Grant, Iowa, and Lafayette Counties. 

There are now a total of 41 confirmed and 7 probable cases associated with this outbreak.

Grant County: 2 confirmed cases (No change from last report)

Iowa County: 35 confirmed cases and 0 probable (4 new confirmed cases)

Lafayette County: 4 confirmed cases and 7 probable (1 new confirmed, 4 probable)

No public exposures have been reported.

The MMR vaccine is the best protection against the measles and people are encouraged to check their vaccination status on the Wisconsin Immunization Registry or contact their local health department or health care provider to check if they have had the vaccine.
