The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed improvements on I-39 from US 51 to County V in Madison, Dane County.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Vienna Town Hall, 7161 County I, DeForest. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
The primary objective of the project is to rehabilitate the pavement along I-39 and WIS 19 ramps. Other proposed improvements include repairing six interstate bridges and update guardrail. Construction is scheduled for 2029.
Please note that information relating to the I-39/90/94 project from US 12/18 in Madison to US 12/WIS 16 interchange in Wisconsin Dells will not be discussed at this meeting, as its preliminary design is underway.
