The Democratic Governors Association is up with a new TV ad knocking GOP gubernatorial nominee Tom Tiffany for voting to block release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
The spot from Protect Our Wisconsin comes days after Dem nominee David Crowley began his own ad hitting Tiffany on the topic.
The narrator in the new 15-second ad says Tiffany blocked an effort to release the files, “protecting child abusers and rapists,” while adding he “even downplayed the scandal on releasing the victims’ reports of abuse.”
The spot concludes, “Tom Tiffany’s MAGA agenda is too extreme.”
House Republicans blocked attempts by Dems to force the release of the files on the disgraced financier. Then in November, the chamber voted 427-1 to compel the release of federal files related to the case.
