This week once again proved that Democrats are going on offense across the country. From Iowa and Montana to California and New Jersey, Democratic candidates — for Governor, Senate, and House — are expanding the map and forcing Trump’s extremist Republicans to go on defense. Democrats are on the front foot, organizing everywhere to flip the House, take back the Senate, win races up and down the ballot, and deliver for working families throughout America.

As Democrats fight to make life more affordable, Trump and his extremist Republicans continue jacking up costs and hurting working families. With the support of the American people, Democrats took control of the House floor earlier this week to successfully pass a resolution that would put an end to Trump’s deadly, unpopular, and costly war in Iran. This comes as his unnecessary war of choice pushes prices on gas, diesel, and fertilizer even higher, making it challenging for farmers in states throughout the nation to make ends meet and creating a crisis in the agriculture economy.
Beef prices are also rising to a level that has become unaffordable for too many families. Additionally, Trump’s floundering economy is hemorrhaging jobs at a breakneck pace. Employers announced 97,000 job cuts in May, the highest for any May since 2020.

Finally, with the summer months upon us, families in states across the country are having their vacation plans sabotaged by Trump’s assault on our public lands. From his gutting of the National Park Service and attacking public lands to funneling park fees to his pet projects in DC, it’s no wonder that parks are overcrowded, understaffed, and reducing their hours. Since the start of the Trump administration, the National Park Service has already lost nearly 25% of its permanent staff.
