August 20, 2026 – Door County, Wisconsin – Door County residents are invited to a free seminar designed to help individuals organize their estate plans and prepare for medical health events.

“Planning for What Matters: Organizing Your Estate Plan will be offered on two dates:

Tuesday, Sept. 29, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club in Sturgeon Bay

Tuesday, Oct. 6, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Birch Creek Music Performance Center in Egg Harbor

The session is hosted by retired estate planning attorney Robert A. Ross Jr., who will discuss the often-overlooked details of estate planning. A seasoned presenter, Ross manages to talk about the seriousness of the subject matter while keeping the mood light, entertaining, and memorable. During his legal career, Ross specialized in estate planning and administration, business succession planning, charitable giving and retirement planning. He is a Fellow of the Estate Planning Institute of Collaborative Resources (EPICOR) and a frequent speaker and consultant for charitable and professional organizations.

The seminar will focus on helping participants organize their estate plans before a major medical event or other crisis occurs. Topics will include:
– Essential documents to have in place before a major medical event
– Where important estate planning documents should be kept
– Choosing financial and health care powers of attorney
– Reviewing beneficiary designations
– Protecting IRAs and other assets
– Ensuring personal wishes are known and honored
