Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski knocked President Donald Trump in her speech to Dem activists, saying rather than cleaning up the swamp in Washington, D.C., he gold-plated it and put his name on it.

Godlewski, who’s running for lieutenant governor, said Trump stuck taxpayers with a $400 million bill for his “golden ballroom,” tried to create a $1.7 billion “slush fund” for Jan. 6 insurrectionists and added $4 billion to his personal net worth while he’s been in office.

“That’s not public service. That’s self service,” Godlewski said. “Let’s call it what it is: corruption.”

Godlewski said northern U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, the leading GOP candidate for governor, is a “swamp creature” who loves to throw around a “you betcha” to play like he’s a nice guy from northern Wisconsin.

But Godlewski said Tiffany, who used the phrase “you betcha” in his first TV ad of the campaign, voted with Trump 100% of the time, saying “you betcha” each time. She then got the crowd to shout back Tiffany’s catchphrase as she asked what the congressman says when Trump cut healthcare, abolished the Department of Education and dragged the U.S. into a reckless war with Iran.

“Someobdy needs to tell Tom that Mar-a-lago is not in Minocqua,” Godlewski said.
