In his latest ad, U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman, R-Glenbeulah, says he supports employment choice for people with disabilities.
The 30-second spot is the campaign’s second creative; the first was released last week. The campaign did not immediately respond to a WisPolitics request seeking more details of the buy.
“Not everybody in Washington sees and understands people that have intellectual disabilities, but Glenn Grothman does,” a woman named Kathy says.
Grothman is then pictured with Kathy’s daughter, Klara, and is high-fiving a group of people.
Grothman’s name, followed by “employment choice for people with disabilities” is shown as text on the screen.
“He helps me with my choice,” Klara says.
Kathy says her family is “grateful” that Klara has the opportunity to have “her choice and her voice.”
“I want you to vote for Grothman. Because he’s handsome,” Klara says, followed by laughter.
Grothman, seeking his seventh term in Congress, is facing Dem challenger Brad Smith, a National Guard veteran from Mequon.
