MADISON, WI — Hunter Nation today premiered two new, edgy 30-second ads, “Deer Camp” and “Deer Blind” to spearhead a major statewide Get Out the Vote (GOTV) multimedia blitz. Designed to cut through traditional campaign noise, the ads draw on authentic Wisconsin hunting traditions, card-table camaraderie, and biting satire to wake up tens of thousands of licensed hunters who sit out elections.
The multi-channel campaign spanning digital video, CTV/OTT, social platforms, and regional talk radio launches as Wisconsin enters its crucial in-person absentee and early voting window, with the capacity to reach more than 800k registered and prospective voters before Election Day.
The Ads: Bringing the Conversation from the Woods to the Ballot Box
Rather than relying on canned political talking heads, Hunter Nation’s creative campaign meets sportsmen directly where they live and gather:
“Deer Camp” (:30) — Captures the familiar sights and sounds of Wisconsin deer camp—the card table, the banter, and the annual complaints about government overreach. The spot aims at the glaring contradiction between camp talk and civic action: “Half the hunters in Wisconsin complain about politics and don’t even vote… When gun laws start changing because you didn’t vote, don’t come kicking and screaming.”
“Deer Blind” (:30) — Placed in an elevated hunting stand, two hunters scanning the timber are startled to find extreme political agendas and megaphone-wielding protesters encroaching on their hunting grounds. The spot highlights the immediate threat that activist regulations and anti-hunting policies pose to Wisconsin’s outdoor heritage when sportsmen fail to show up. Overcoming Voter Complacency in a Margin-of-Error State
Wisconsin elections are routinely decided by fewer than 20,000 votes. Hunter Nation’s research indicates that more than 460,000 licensed sportsmen and gun owners stayed home in recent midterm election cycles. Hunter Nation’s campaign directly challenges that disengagement.
“Our right to vote is sacred, but too many hunters have gotten comfortable sitting on the sidelines,” said Keith Mark, Founder and CEO of Hunter Nation.
“Every season, guys gather around the deer camp table and talk about protecting their traditions, but if half that table doesn’t cast a ballot, someone else writes the rules for them. These ads cut straight through the nonsense with humor and truth: if you don’t vote to defend your hunting heritage and Second Amendment rights, you don’t get to complain when they’re taken away.”
“Following our recent overflow rallies in Green Bay and Waukesha, the energy on the ground across Wisconsin is electric,” said Chris Vaughan, Wisconsin State Director of Hunter Nation. “These ads resonate because they reflect the real conversations happening right now in blinds, cabins, and hardware stores across the Badger State. Hunters and gun owners are the single most powerful voting bloc in Wisconsin and when we vote, our way of life is protected.”
