Institute for Reforming Government: NEW IRG ANALYSIS: Wisconsin Lost More Than $400 Million in Tax Revenue in 2023 and $3.5 Billion Over the Past Decade as Residents Move Away

Delafield, Wis. – According to new IRG analysis of IRS data Wisconsin lost more than $4 billion in income in 2023 because people moved out of state. $2.8 billion went to states with a flat income tax or no income tax at all.
