I’m deeply honored by the trust the voters of Dane County have placed in me. This campaign has always been about something bigger than any one person – it’s about fairness, integrity, and the belief that our justice system should work for everyone.
I promise to bring my best self to the courtroom every day, to uphold the rule of law, to treat every person who enters my courtroom with dignity, and to ensure that justice does not depend on who you are or what you have.
That’s the commitment I’ve made throughout this campaign, and it’s the commitment I’ll carry with me on the bench.
I want to thank Attorney Huma Ahsan for a spirited race, and for her commitment to the community.
To our supporters – thank you. From the small group of friends that gathered around my living room last fall and dreamt big about this campaign, to the folks who chipped in what they could, to everyone who shared a kind word or showed up when it mattered most. You helped build this campaign. You carried it forward. And I’m incredibly grateful.
Most importantly, I want to thank my family. To my incredibly brilliant and supportive wife, Christina – none of this would be possible without you. To my kids, my parents, my in-laws, my brother and his family, my cousins, and everyone who stepped up to support us along the way – thank you for your love, your patience, and your belief in me.
This campaign may be over, but the work continues. I’m ready to get to it.
