BREAKING NEWS — Kevin Krentz, local dairy farmer and former President of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation (WFBF), released a first wave of endorsements demonstrating a deep level of support for his campaign in the 57th Assembly District.

Well-known conservative Jon P. Wilcox, veteran Don Nelson and multiple local officials  endorsed the statewide and local agriculture leader who operates a dairy farm in Waushara County.  Krentz grew up on the family’s multi-generational farm that’s operated since 1958.

“I’m endorsing Kevin Krentz for state Assembly because he’s a strong, conservative leader who’ll fight to make our families and communities stronger.  Kevin was born and raised in the district, and his roots run very deep in the agricultural community locally and statewide. His  public service as a town chairman speaks volumes about his commitment to the area, and it demonstrates he’ll put the interests of our communities above the special interests in Madison.  Kevin Krentz will make a wonderful state representative, and I’m happy to endorse him,” said Don Nelson.

Nelson and Wilcox were joined by local officials who support Krentz in his campaign:

  • CJ Young, Aurora Town Board Chair
  • Pat Kafer, Rushford Town Board Supervisor
  • Paul Jarvis, Mt. Morris Town Board Supervisor
  • Dave Chase, Marion Town Board Supervisor
  • Garrel Walejko, Marion Town Board Chair
  • Jerry Luttrop, Aurora Town Clerk (former)

“Don Nelson, Jon Wilcox, and all these local officials are deeply respected throughout the area.  I’m honored to have their trust and endorsement.  I’ll work hard in the state Assembly to undo the burdensome taxes and red tape the Evers administration has forced on working families.  We deserve property tax relief, and a government that empowers people instead of bureaucrats,” said Krentz.

Krentz served as President of WFBF from 2020 until 2023.  He also served as a board member for the American Farm Bureau Federation Board, UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Live Sciences Board of Visitors, Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection’s (DATCP) Agricultural Export Advisory Council and more. Krentz was elected to the Aurora Town Board in 2004 serving for 10 years including as Chairman between 2010-2014.
