Milwaukee, WI — The LIBRE Initiative-Wisconsin, the largest center-right Latino organization in the state, announced the endorsement of five candidates for the Wisconsin State Legislature, backing a slate of policy champions committed to expanding opportunity for families, small business owners, and working Wisconsinites across the state.

The endorsements come as Hispanic families in Wisconsin continue to feel the squeeze of high property taxes, rising energy bills, and a state economy that too often leaves entrepreneurs and working families behind. LIBRE’s endorsed candidates have committed to advancing policies that make it easier to start a business, keep more of their hard-earned paychecks, and give every family the freedom to choose the education that best fits their children.

LIBRE Initiative-Wisconsin’s endorsed candidates for the 2026 election include:

State Senate

  • Mike Roberts (Senate District 5)
  • Jim Croft (Senate District 21)

State Assembly

  • Bob Donovan (Assembly District 61)
  • Ben Franklin (Assembly District 88)
  • Bobby R. Lindsey (Assembly District 89)

We’re proud to stand with them, and we’re ready to turn out Latino voters and deliver a win in November.”

These endorsements land in districts anchored in some of Wisconsin’s largest and fastest-growing Latino communities — from Milwaukee County (home to more than 153,000 Hispanic residents) to Racine County (14.1% Hispanic) and Brown County in the Green Bay area (nearly 10% Hispanic). Statewide, Wisconsin’s Hispanic population has grown to more than 447,000 residents, making Latino voters an increasingly decisive force in the state’s political future.

The LIBRE Initiative-Wisconsin, which works alongside Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin, will mobilize its grassroots network of volunteers across the state to engage Hispanic voters ahead of the November election through door-knocking, community events, and voter education on the policies that will lower the cost of living and expand opportunity for every Wisconsin family. In this year’s governor’s race, the organization has also endorsed Tom Tiffany and will engage Hispanic voters on why his agenda is the right one for Wisconsin families.
