Milwaukee – June 25, 2026 – The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW) is offering seed grants of up to $50,000 for community-led projects that create new strategies, test innovative ideas, and foster collaboration to address health challenges in Wisconsin. Similar funding is available for Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) researchers.

AHW has allocated $1 million for community-led projects, allowing up to 20 awards in this funding round. Organizations eligible for AHW’s Community-Led Seed Grants include Wisconsin-based 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 nonprofits, as well as Wisconsin-based government entities.

AHW’s community-academic partnership model pairs pre-approved MCW faculty with successful non-profit grant applicants based upon the stated needs of their project. MCW academic partners supporting such community-led projects are funded separately from the grant to the non-profit organization.

Funded projects must be completed during a 12-month period beginning Jan. 1, 2027.

Applications for AHW Community-Led Seed Grants are due Aug. 3. For more information and to request a pre-application consultation with an AHW grant program manager, visit the AHW Funding Opportunities webpage.
