MILWAUKEE, WI – In response to illegal U.S. military attacks and violations of Venezuelan sovereignty, the Milwaukee Anti-war Committee is launching a month of actions opposing U.S. U.S. War on Venezuela, including a press conference, banner drop, teach-in, and a mass rally.

The campaign will begin with a press conference on Monday, January 5 at 11:00 AM inside Milwaukee City Hall, where organizers will formally launch “No War on Venezuela” month of action and announce readiness to mobilize emergency actions if U.S. aggression escalates further.

Later that day, MAC and community organizations will carry out a banner drop at 5:00 PM at the Locust Street Bridge, marking the public kickoff of the campaign.

Additional events throughout the month include an AWAN webinar and community gathering on January 11, a phone zap and forum on political repression on January 14, a teach-in on Venezuela on January 17, and a One Year Later March and Rally on January 20 at Zeidler Union Square.
