Waukesha – State Representative Scott Allen announced today that he will be taking a sabbatical from elected office and will not seek reelection to the State Assembly this fall.

Allen was elected in 2014 and has been re-elected every two years since as a Representative to the Wisconsin State Assembly representing the greater Waukesha area. In 2024 he was elected to the newly tonymandered 82nd District, which includes most of the City of Waukesha, along with the western-most parts of the Village of Waukesha.

Prior to serving in the State Assembly Allen served on the Waukesha County Community Development Block Grant Board and one term on the Waukesha City Council.

Service is an important value for Rep Allen. He served in the United States Army Reserve. He has served the real estate industry on various boards and committees and has served his church and community in a variety of roles. He will continue to serve after his term in office, just in different ways.

“We are blessed with living in the greatest country of all time. Service is the rent that we pay for such privilege,” said Rep Allen. “Protecting our freedoms and opportunities takes work and when we begin to take them for granted, we run the risk of losing them.”

It is worthy of note that this action by Rep Allen may be the only thing that he has ever done that will thrill liberals.

His current term in office expires the first week of January 2027. He will continue to represent the people of the 82nd Assembly District until then. If constituents have any challenges with state government, they are encouraged to contact Allen’s capitol office at 608-237-9182 or by email at rep.allen@legis.wi.gov.
