MADISON — Assembly Majority Leader Tyler August (R-Walworth) released the following statement regarding Rep. Jessie Rodriguez:
“I want to thank Jessie for her years of service to the people of Wisconsin and, more personally, for her friendship over the years.
“I’ve had the opportunity to serve alongside her throughout much of our time in the Legislature. From the beginning, she has been a strong advocate for her district and someone who has never taken this role for granted.
“She has fought hard for her job, for her constituents, and for the issues that matter most to the people she represents. That determination and resilience have defined her time in the Assembly and earned her the respect of colleagues on both sides of the aisle.
“Jessie has always been someone you can count on with a thoughtful voice, a steady presence, and a colleague who truly cares about doing right by her district. I’ve valued not only her work in the Legislature, but the friendship we’ve built along the way.
“I wish Jessie, her husband Aaron, and her son Noah all the best in this next chapter and thank her again for her service and her friendship.”
