MADISON… Assembly Majority Leader Tyler August (R-Walworth) issued the following statement on State Senator Steve Nass’ retirement:
“Fighter. That’s the one word that comes to mind when thinking about Steve.
“Steve has been an integral part of the conservative movement in Wisconsin for decades. Over his years of service to his neighbors, Steve never lost his steadfast conservative principles. No amount of political pressure ever made him forget who he worked for or what he believed in.
“We didn’t disagree often, but on the rare occasions that we did, Steve did so with the same honor and conviction everyone has come to expect. We have known each other for nearly 25 years and I am proud of the work we did together. While I will miss working with him, I know he will continue to be a prominent citizen of Walworth County.
“It has been an honor to be Steve’s State Representative, but even better to be his friend. I wish him and Sheila all the best.”
