MADISON, WI – Today, State Representative Jill Billings (D-La Crosse) and State Senator Brad Pfaff (D-Onalaska) introduced legislation to cap insulin prices in Wisconsin at $35. The legislators released the following statement:

“As costs throughout the nation rise and people across Wisconsin struggle to make ends meet, it is unacceptable that people must worry about whether they can afford this lifesaving medication. Capping the price of insulin is just one simple, straightforward solution to reduce prescription drug costs in Wisconsin.”

“Our vision for Wisconsin is one where people are not forced to ration their medicine or skip it altogether because of unreasonably high drug prices. We should follow in the steps of more than 25 other states and cap the cost of insulin for Wisconsinites.”
