Madison, WI – Representative Chanz Green (R-Grand View) issued the following statements after two of his bills, Senate Bill 366 and Assembly Bill 966, were signed into law yesterday.

On Senate Bill 366:

“This legislation makes targeted improvements to the technical education equipment grant program, which is administered by the Department of Workforce Development. Wisconsin continues to face a growing workforce gap in high-skill, high-demand technical fields.

By making these adjustments, this legislation will enable school districts to have greater flexibility in building relevant facilities, securing training resources, and creating more hands-on, career-connected learning opportunities for students.”

On Assembly Bill 966:

“DOJ’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force already provides a range of digital safety resources for schools and parents, in coordination with the DOJ’s Office of School Safety and the Department of Public Instruction. This legislation simply codifies that ongoing effort and directs the DOJ to carry out a statewide children’s online digital safety awareness campaign.

By strengthening this initiative, we reinforce Wisconsin’s commitment to protecting children and ensure families and schools have consistent, accessible education on online safety risks and prevention.”

Senate Bill 366 is now 2025 Wisconsin Act 221.

Assembly Bill 966 is now 2025 Wisconsin Act 219.
