MADISON, WI – Recently, the 54th Assembly District was awarded more than $2,500,000 in state funding and grants for various projects. The State Building Commission (SBC) convened last week to approve state funding for capitol building projects and awardees of the Non-State Grant Program. Additionally, the City of Oshkosh received a Talent Recruitment Grant for the Onboard to Oshkosh program.
Rep. Palmeri (D-Oshkosh) issued the following statement:
“I am proud to advocate for and help deliver state funding for the 54th Assembly District through these vital projects. It is great to see state investments in our district for state and community resources. The ADVOCAP childcare incubator was awarded a Non-State Grant of $86,500 to assist childcare startups. This is a critical resource not only for families in our community, but also for the larger economy. The State Building Commission also approved $2,345,000 in state funding to renovate the North building elevator at the Wisconsin Resource Center,” stated Rep. Palmeri.
“I am also excited to see the City of Oshkosh receive a Talent Recruitment Grant of $117,500. This grant is awarded to programs that aim to strengthen the state’s workforce by attracting new workers and their families to Wisconsin. The goal of the program is to entice needed professions to relocate to the City of Oshkosh within two years. Emphasis will be placed on the skilled trades, teaching, medical fields, and informational technology services based on what Oshkosh’s community partners have signaled as areas of need.
“The millions in local investment in the last budget, alongside this new round of state funding, is a clear signal for what we can and will accomplish when we are focusing on our communities and the human infrastructure that powers Wisconsin. I am proud to represent the 54th Assembly District and will continue to advocate for state investment in our district.”
