Madison – Representative Shae Sortwell (R-Gibson) released the following statement regarding the completion of local DEI investigation:
“My office was tasked by the Chair of the Assembly Committee on Government Operations, Accountability, and Transparency (GOAT) to investigate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) matters at the local level. The investigation included all counties, the fifty largest municipalities, and a seminar attended by certain school districts. It is now complete and posted on my website.” Representative Sortwell is available for comment.
