MADISON, Wis. — On Tuesday, April 7th, President Trump stated “A whole civilization will die tonight” in regard to the ongoing war in Iran.
Representative Randy Udell (D-47th District) released the following statement:
“In 2015, President Obama announced that a nuclear deal had been reached with Iran. In this deal, the Strait of Hormuz would remain open, and Iran agreed to turn over virtually all of their stockpiled nuclear materials and allow international inspectors unlimited access to monitor their facilities that could be used to build nuclear weapons.
“In 2018, President Trump withdrew the United States from this deal. Now, in his unprovoked war, thousands have died including over a dozen US military servicemen, gas prices are soaring, and the Trump Administration is requesting another $1.5 trillion in taxpayer dollars to fund the Pentagon next year.
“We are being run by an unhinged madman who openly and internationally threatens nuclear cataclysm. It is far beyond time for Republicans to join Democrats and utilize the 25th Amendment to remove this man from office.”
