Washington, D.C. — As primary elections for state legislative races have come to a close tonight in Wisconsin, Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) President Edith Jorge-Tuñón released the following statement:

“Wisconsin Republicans are heading into November with a record of delivering results for Badger State families, while Democrats continue trying to use the courts to accomplish what they cannot win at the ballot box. Democrats took their fight over legislative maps to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, which ultimately overturned the state’s maps and forced a redistricting process mid-decade. It’s part of a broader Democrat strategy: when voters won’t give them the power to govern, they look to activist courts to legislate, redraw districts and manufacture political outcomes. Meanwhile, Republican legislators have stayed focused on the issues that matter to Wisconsin families: cutting taxes, standing up for law enforcement, and pushing back against Governor Evers’ tax-and-spend agenda. This November, voters will have a choice between a Republican Party delivering results and a Democrat Party increasingly willing to use the courts to get its way. The RSLC is committed to defending Republican majorities in both the Assembly and Senate and electing conservative leaders who will continue fighting for Wisconsin families.”
