The Republican Governors Association has released a new ad that declares Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley incompetent and unfit to be governor.
It is the group’s first ad of the general election through its affiliate Right Direction Wisconsin after it spent $3.6 million ahead of the Dem primary, much of it to promote state Rep. Francesca Hong, D-Madison, as she sought the party’s nomination.
The narrator in the new ad says Crowley’s record as Milwaukee County executive is a “failure” with mismanagement resulting in the largest property tax hike in 15 years while he slashed health and transit services for citizens in need. The narrator adds Crowley failed to renew the county’s health plan, putting care “at catastrophic risk.”
The narrator closes the spot, “David Crowley: Incompetent, unprepared, unfit to be governor.”
