MILWAUKEE — On Wednesday morning, RightCount Wisconsin State Chairman Jim Steineke released the following statement offering support for election officials, first responders, and poll workers whose tireless preparation resulted in the successful implementation of the 2026 midterm elections.
“For two years, poll watchers, workers, and county and municipal officials have worked tirelessly to ensure that Election Day operations at polling centers across Wisconsin run smoothly, safely, and efficiently,” Steineke said in a statement. “Last night, an important step was taken in restoring the trust Wisconsinites have in the process. Voters across the state were able to cast a ballot and ensure their voices were heard without issue, with the system working as it was designed. As always, we want to thank the thousands of poll workers and watchers who work tirelessly with county and municipal staff to ensure elections run smoothly, and the first responders who ensure the environment is safe and secure. We look forward to supporting and championing a process that serves the state, enhances transparency, and earns the public trust.”
