The Republican State Leadership Committee announced a six-figure ad campaign that will run in Wisconsin and four other states that slams “out-of-touch liberals” for driving up costs.
The group, which works to elect Republicans to state legislatures, said the spots will run on digital platforms in Wisconsin, Arizona, Minnesota, Michigan and Pennsylvania. It didn’t provide specifics on how much of the initial buy will be spent in Wisconsin.
The ad seeks to link Republicans to the Founding Fathers, who rejected a “faraway government that took too much and listened too little” and “built a new system where states lead the way.” It shows images of the Boston Tea Party, George Washington crossing the Delaware River and the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The narrator adds states with GOP-led legislatures are cutting taxes and reducing costs for residents.

“When Washington won’t listen, our states don’t wait — for 250 years and counting,” the narrator says to close the spot.
The group identified Wisconsin as one of its top seven priorities for defending Republican majorities in legislative chambers.
