Washburn County, WI – Erik Severson received the unanimous endorsement of the Republican Party of Washburn County for State Senator in the 25th Senate District on Monday.
“It is a true honor to be endorsed by a fantastic group of staunch conservatives and a strong grassroots organization like the Washburn County GOP. It is not something that I take lightly. I will continue to earn their support by representing the values of Northwern Wisconsin and working to ensure we keep the 25th Senate District a firm red seat come November,” stated Severson.
“Over the past few months, it became clear to our members that Erik Severson was the right person for the job here in the 25th Senate District. He represents the values and principles on which our party stands, and has a proven track record of success in moving forward conservative policies that improve the lives of people here in Washburn County, “ said Brian Melton, Chair of the Republican Party of Washburn County.
When talking to voters throughout the 25th Senate District, Severson has heard their concerns about rising property taxes forcing people out of their homes, worries about rampant fraud and abuse at the state level and the need to protect our sporting heritage. On top of his proven track record of reforms on these issues, Severson is committed to fighting for the people of Northern Wisconsin, not Madison special interests.
“My top priority upon getting to Madison will be to repeal Governor Tony Evers disastrous 400-year property tax veto. It is just another example of the tax-and-spend policies that are undoing all the hard work we accomplished during my previous time in the State Assembly, where I partnered with former Governor Scott Walker to cut spending, enact concealed carry and improve bear hunting licensure and funding for ATV/UTV trails,” Severson said.
