SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – June 8th, 2026 – On June 7, Mayor Ryan Sorenson was elected to a leadership position on the US Conference of Mayors’ advisory board, joined by the mayors of Milwaukee, Denver, Miami, Mesa, and Bakersfield.
The U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) is the official nonpartisan organization representing cities with populations of 30,000 or more. The
organization includes 1,407 mayors and other chief elected officials from across the country.
“Sheboygan has earned a seat at the national table, amplifying our voice,” said Mayor Sorenson. “This role gives us an opportunity to advocate for the investments, partnerships, and policies that will help our city continue to grow and thrive. I am deeply honored by the confidence my fellow mayors have placed in me, and I look forward to ensuring that Sheboygan’s perspective helps shape the future of America’s cities.”
The USCM’s key functions include developing effective urban policy, building federal-city relationships, and creating a shared forum for urban leadership. Mayor Sorenson’s election to the board ensures Sheboygan’s voice is highlighted in national discussions surrounding cities and local communities.
