MADISON, Wis. (April 28, 2026) — Lisa M. Lawless of Milwaukee has been elected president-elect of the State Bar of Wisconsin, defeating Anna Muñoz in voting that concluded April 24.
Lawless, with Husch Blackwell LLP, will begin a one-year term as president-elect on July 1, 2026, before serving a one-year term as president.
“I am honored and humbled to be elected State Bar president-elect,” Lawless said, adding she plans to focus on member engagement, addressing Wisconsin’s lawyer shortage in rural areas, and securing legislative funding for civil legal services.

- Basil J. Buchko of Manitowoc was elected secretary, defeating Joseph M. Cardamone III of Kenosha.
- Jason D. Luczak of Milwaukee was elected Judicial Council representative, defeating Saveon D. Grenell of Waukesha.
