MADISON, WI – The 2026 Wisconsin Supreme Court election is the most blatant evidence we’ve seen that Democrats are in the driver’s seat heading towards the midterm elections later this year. Last night, Justice-elect Taylor won a historic victory by not just competing but winning in areas Wisconsin Republicans have long taken for granted. As Senate Democrats spend the next 7 months campaigning across the state, it will only become clearer that 2026 is the year Wisconsin voters will deliver a democratic majority for the first time in over a decade.

Wisconsin State Senate Democratic Leader Dianne Hesselbein on what the Supreme Court results mean for November:
“This November, Democrats are going to win a Senate majority. Last night, we saw Justice-elect Taylor win decisive victories in Senate districts that Republicans are desperately trying to defend, and in districts they believed were safe, but were not. As costs continue to skyrocket and as the chaos and dysfunction being sewn by Republicans at every level of government grow, Senate Democrats are expanding our map. Whether it’s Door County, Sheboygan, Wausau, or Superior, voters will get another chance to make their voices heard in Madison very soon.”
