- “State Sen. Sarah Keyeski, D-Lodi, introduced a bill that would make it a misdemeanor to create and post AI deepfakes to harass people and a felony to use deepfakes to defraud someone of money.”
- “‘Recently, criminals have been using AI more and more to impersonate different people,’ said Annette Zimmerman, assistant professor of philosophy at UW-Madison.”
- “Keyeski said she modeled her bill after similar bipartisan legislation that passed in Pennsylvania.”
