MADISON, WI – Today President Trump announced his support for legislation banning investment firms from being able to purchase single family homes. Legislation like the bill introduced by Senators Keyeski and Pfaff earlier last year. Intended to increase housing supply and keep costs in check, legislation like this has widespread support across the country. The real question is now that the idea is blessed by Wisconsin Republicans’ lord and savior, will they finally act?

“A bill to ban investment firms from buying single family homes has existed in the Wisconsin State Senate for almost a year and Senate Republicans have done nothing. Senators Keyeski and Pfaff introduced the bill last March, but now that Trump supports the idea, maybe Wisconsin Republicans will finally do the jobs they were elected to do. Luckily for Wisconsin families, this inaction and subservience ends this year when Democrats win a majority and finally deliver for Wisconsinites.”
