- “Jung’s campaign reported receiving more than 700 individual donations, with an average of about $1,260 coming in daily since his launch.”
- “Kelly Gallaher, chair of the Democratic Party of Racine County, believes Jung’s early fundraising totals indicate how excited people are about his candidacy.
- ‘This is the most exciting race coming up in November and Trevor’s fundraising shows how excited people are for him,’ she said. ‘He’s just getting started.’”
- “Jung described the fundraising response as ‘humbling’, and that it reflects ‘widespread community support’ across the newly configured district, which now includes parts of Milwaukee County along with Racine.”
- “‘This puts us in a position where we’re able to communicate boldly about the issues that are most important to folks — affordability, making sure hard work pays off,’ Jung said.”
- “…it remains unclear whether current Republican Sen. Van Wanggaard will seek re-election. The longtime lawmaker reported just 80 cents in income through the second quarter of 2025 – all of it from bank interest – and has not reported any campaign contributions beyond that.”
- “In his conversation with Racine County Eye, he called for greater transparency in state government, expanded access to health care, and more investment in infrastructure and education, particularly in light of the state’s multi-billion dollar budget surplus.”
- “‘It’s not just to hoard taxpayer dollars in Madison and then turn our backs on the neighborhoods that I grew up in,’ he said. ‘We need to do a better job of making sure taxpayers get the biggest bang for their buck.’”
- Statewide, the State Senate Democratic Committee (SSDC) reported raising more than $1.5 million in 2025, a non-election year record for the group.
