JANESVILLE, WI – During a recent debate, radical-activist Mitchell Berman doubled down on his lies stating his campaign does not accept funding from Corporate PACs. Congressman Bryan Steil called Berman out for lying to Wisconsin families about the funding for his race.

In a recent Berman campaign ad, paid for in coordination with the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), Berman states that he does not take Corporate PAC funding. What Berman refuses to say is that the DCCC, which is paying for this ad to air, has accepted millions of dollars in corporate PAC funding.

Berman was called out on this hypocrisy by one outlet and other Democrats making similar false claims have received media scrutiny.

“In his campaign ad, Berman looks directly to camera and says he won’t accept corporate PAC money, yet that ad itself is funded with corporate PAC money, ” said a campaign spokesperson. “Mitchell Berman is not being honest with Wisconsin voters.”

Background:

In a recent ad, Berman states he “won’t take corporate PAC money”. That ad itself lists the DCCC as a sponsor of the ad in coordination with Mitchell Berman’s campaign. The DCCC has taken millions of dollars in corporate PAC donations this election cycle.

One recent article states on the DCCC… “That committee has taken $48.3 million from other political committees this cycle, including millions from corporate PACs.”

The DCCC and Berman are jointly coordinating and running ads in this race.
