Mequon, WI – The UAW State CAP Council of Wisconsin proudly announced today its endorsement of Mike Thurow in his campaign for Congress in Wisconsin’s Sixth Congressional District.
The UAW represents working people across Wisconsin, including thousands of workers in the 6th Congressional District. For generations, the union has fought to improve the lives of working families by securing higher wages, stronger benefits, safer workplaces, and greater economic opportunity for workers across the state and nation.
“Wisconsin families have an important decision to make in the upcoming election,” said Wisconsin UAW Political Coordinator Brad Schwanda. “On behalf of UAW Region 4 and the Wisconsin State CAP/PAC Council, we are proud to endorse a true champion of workers and working families in the race for Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District in the August 11, 2026, primary election.”
“I’m deeply honored to earn the support of Wisconsin UAW,” said Mike Thurow, Independent candidate for Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District. “The UAW has a long and proud history of fighting for—and winning—rights, protections, and benefits for working people. From Walter Reuther to Shawn Fain, the union has consistently been a leading force in both the labor movement and the broader fight for economic justice in our country.”
“I am proud to have earned the support of the working men and women of this district. Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District is the third highest congressional district in the nation in manufacturing employment on a per-capita basis. Earning the trust and support of workers by listening to their concerns and advocating for the issues that matter most to them is central to my campaign and my vision for serving in Congress.”
Thurow is running to bring a working-class, independent perspective back to Congress, ensuring families who show up, work hard, and raise the next generation have a representative who fights for them — not for party politics or corporate donors. Learn more at thurowforcongress.com.
