Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany has released a new TV ad knocking Crowley for a Milwaukee County program that provides iPads to those being held at the jail.
It is Tiffany’s 10th ad of the campaign. According to AdImpact, he has reserved $14.2 million in paid media for the full campaign, including $7.1 million since Aug. 11.
The spot opens with footage from a court hearing in which Judge David Borowski asked why the sheriff was “handing laptops or iPads to defendants?”
The narrator says Crowley approved the program, and one domestic abuser contacted the victim 1,500 times, while a murder suspect threatened a witness and another accessed child pornography.

The ad cuts to Borowski again saying, “It’s preposterous.”
The spot closes with Tiffany saying the judge is right.
“When I’m governor, I’ll protect victims and hold criminals accountable,” Tiffany says to close the spot.
