WAUSAU, WI – Following reporting that David Crowley agreed to leave the Democratic primary for Wisconsin Governor in July in exchange for “hundreds of thousands of dollars and a promise of a job for his wife,” it was revealed that the senior Democratic party insider with firsthand knowledge of these events has signed an affidavit.
The Democrat Party insider is alleging that amid Democrat attempts to push Socialist Francesca Hong out of the race for Wisconsin Governor, Crowley agreed to exit the race and endorse Democrat Sara Rodriguez for Governor.
“The Crowley campaign made it clear that David [Crowley] would not endorse the lieutenant governor unless $250,000 was promised for his next run for county exec or for future political activities, and that his wife, Ericka Crowley, would have a paid position within a Rodriguez administration,” the advisor told the Lakeland Times.
“Regardless of what happens tomorrow, allegations that David Crowley demanded money to advance his political ambitions and secure a job for his wife are concerning, particularly now that a signed affidavit is involved. Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez must address these claims, and Attorney General Josh Kaul should, at the very least, conduct an investigation. My focus will be fighting for Wisconsin families: returning the budget surplus to taxpayers, ending the 400-year property tax hike, eliminating state taxes on tips and overtime, and lowering costs,” said Tom Tiffany.
