GERMANTOWN, WI – The Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), representing more than 3,700 active and retired law enforcement officers across the Badger State, endorsed Tom Tiffany for Governor of Wisconsin today.

“As governor, Tom will stand with law enforcement and make sure officers have the tools, training, and support they need to keep our communities safe. He will hold local leaders accountable when their policies stand in the way of public safety. He will ban sanctuary policies statewide and require local law enforcement agencies to cooperate with federal immigration authorities when dealing with criminal illegal immigrants—ensuring that if someone commits a crime and is in this country illegally, Wisconsin will not shield them from justice,” said the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police. “Finally, Tom will hold prosecutors accountable, end soft-on-crime policies, and oppose efforts to release murderers, violent criminals, and sex offenders early.”

“I am honored to earn the endorsement of the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police and the thousands of active and retired officers they represent across our state,” said Tom Tiffany. “These men and women understand what it takes to keep our communities safe and the challenges law enforcement officers face every day. I am incredibly grateful to have their support.”

The Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police represents law enforcement officers in communities across Wisconsin and is affiliated with the national Fraternal Order of Police, which represents more than 380,000 members nationwide.

“Public safety is one of the clearest contrasts in this election,” Tiffany continued. “I believe one of government’s most important responsibilities is to keep its citizens safe. David Crowley supports cutting Wisconsin’s prison population in half, opposed tougher penalties for repeat drunk drivers and domestic abusers, and even promised to be an ‘accomplice’ to illegal immigrants ‘no matter what.’ As governor, we will hold violent criminals responsible, end sanctuary jurisdictions, and make sure Wisconsin never joins the movement to defund the police.”

The endorsement adds the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police to Tiffany’s previously announced law enforcement support from numerous sheriffs and law enforcement organizations across Wisconsin, including in Milwaukee County.
