GOP nominee Tom Tiffany has launched his first attack ad against Dem gubernatorial rival David Crowley, calling him a “failed executive” who spent recklessly, botched health insurance for thousands and raised taxes.
Tiffany’s campaign said it was part of a seven-figure statewide buy on TV, streaming and digital platforms.
AdImpact has tracked $7.7 million in ad buys by Tiffany for the campaign, including $826,000 that started Tuesday.
Tiffany’s buy comes as the Democratic Governors Association has launched a seven-figure campaign knocking the GOP congressman for having a “MAGA agenda” that’s too extreme. AdImpact has tracked nearly $1.4 million for that buy.

The narrator in the new Tiffany spot — the sixth of his campaign — says the Milwaukee County executive has acknowledged “there’s no real difference between him and socialists.”
Tiffany says “that’s crazy” and touts his plan to support law enforcement, cut taxes and raise academic achievement.
He closes the ad, “Kids who can read, a home you can own and a community that’s safe. Now that’s how we move Wisconsin forward together.”
