GOP gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany announced his first TV ad of the campaign, a spot in which the Northwoods congressman says he loves everything Wisconsin “except Madison politics.”
Tiffany’s campaign said the ad is part of a seven-figure statewide campaign that includes broadcast, digital and streaming platforms. The campaign in February did its first digital buy.
As of mid-afternoon, AdImpact had tracked nearly $176,000 in ad reservations on broadcast and cable TV through April 21.
In the ad, Tiffany, R-Minocqua, says Dems claim he’s too cliché before adding he grew up milking cows and watching his mom quilt, while he’s also been a dam tender, boat captain and a girl dad.

“I’m running for governor to cut taxes and red tape, stop Wall Street from buying our homes and big data from bulldozing our farmland,” Tiffany says to close the spot. “Cliche? You betcha.”
