WASHINGTON – On Tuesday, the Senate passed U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson’s (R-Wis.) resolution designating July as National Sarcoma Awareness Month. This resolution raises awareness of sarcoma, a form of cancer, and honors the life of Melissa Locke and the thousands of other Americans who are affected by this disease.
“I am pleased that my resolution passed the Senate in honor of Melissa Locke and the countless other Americans who have struggled with the life-threatening disease sarcoma. I hope we can continue to increase awareness of this complex form of cancer that is diagnosed thousands of times each year,” said Sen. Johnson.
