WASHINGTON – Yesterday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI), published an op-ed calling out the biggest government scandal of his lifetime and the media blackout that has hidden it from the American public.
As chairman of PSI, Sen. Johnson held a hearing on April 29, 2026 and released a report titled “Unmasked: How Biden Health Officials Purposely Turned a Blind Eye Toward COVID-19 Vaccine Safety Signals.” His investigation found that in March 2021, FDA officials were warned that their VAERS analysis method would mask vaccine adverse event signals. Twenty-six days later, an updated algorithm revealed twenty-five serious safety signals – including sudden cardiac death, stroke, Bell’s palsy, and pulmonary infarction. Rather than alerting the public, officials shut down the analysis and told Americans that adverse reactions were “rare and mild.”
For the past seven weeks, most major media outlets have ignored the findings detailed in the report. In response, Sen. Johnson authored an op-ed addressing both the findings of the investigation and the limited media attention they have received. After mainstream newspapers declined to publish the piece, the senator posted the op-ed on X yesterday.
