LA CROSSE, WI – Congressman Derrick Van Orden has accepted his second invitation to participate in a debate with Rebecca Cooke, hosted by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. This is the second debate offer that Van Orden has accepted. Cooke recently declined a debate offer by the Wisconsin Gun Owners Association.
Van Orden has consistently called for a debate, giving voters an opportunity to compare his record in Congress with Cooke’s radical record and policy positions.
“I’m proud of my record in Congress, and I’m eager to put it up against Rebecca Cooke’s socialist platform. Cooke has spent the last six years lying about who she is and obscuring her record and I’m ready to expose the truth about where she stands and what she would actually do in Congress. Let’s put both records on the table,” said Van Orden.
