LA CROSSE, WI. – Rebecca Cooke’s biggest problem isn’t Republicans, it’s members of her own party demanding answers about why she continues to hide her finances from Wisconsin voters and why she’s been missing on the campaign trail.
Cooke has refused to release her financial disclosure, raising questions about what she doesn’t want voters to see. This isn’t the first time Cooke’s carefully crafted “working-class outsider” image has come under scrutiny.
In the past, Cooke released her financial disclosure one day before the primary. Those documents revealed a candidate who earned thousands of dollars through political consulting and lavish waterfront rental properties, while presenting herself as a waitress struggling to get by.
Van Orden is joining Emily Berge in calling on Rebecca Cooke to immediately release her financial disclosure and provide voters with the answers they deserve.
Currently, Cooke has filed for an extension that would allow her to file two days after the primary.

“Rebecca Cooke has spent years selling voters an image, but now she’s refusing to show them the reality. If she has nothing to hide, she should release her finances today. Wisconsin voters have every right to ask: What is Rebecca Cooke hiding?” said Van Orden.
