WEST BEND, Wis. — Washington County completed the sale of the former UW-M at Washington County campus to Ozaukee Christian School/FaithRidge, bringing the property under new ownership and opening the door for its next chapter as a school serving area families.

“This sale puts the property back to productive use, ends the County’s ongoing costs to maintain it and allows a local school to move forward with plans that will benefit children and families in Washington County,” said County Executive Josh Schoemann and County Board Chairperson Jeffrey Schleif in a joint statement. “We are pleased to officially welcome Ozaukee Christian School/FaithRidge to its new home and look forward to seeing this campus serve our community for years to come.”

“We are excited about how God is going to use this building as a beacon of light in our community, the blessing it is for our school and our families, and the potential to partner with the community over time to ensure this building remains a positive part of West Bend’s history,” said Chris Bergstresser, executive director of Ozaukee Christian School/FaithRidge.

Washington County had contracts in place prior to yesterday that allowed Ozaukee Christian School/FaithRidge working in the building and preparing for fall semester. They are planning on classes starting this fall in their new building.

The closing follows a June 26th ruling by Judge Steven M. Cain denying a request for an injunction that would have blocked the sale.
