Think back a moment to the COVID-19 pandemic. You weren’t allowed to go to the park. You weren’t allowed to go to church. Your kids weren’t allowed to go to school. Government restrictions dominated life.
We believe that this should never happen again. That government shouldn’t get to dictate if or how you worship. That’s why one of the three constitutional amendments that will be on your ballot November 3rd will ask if you think that a prohibition on closing places of worship should be enshrined in Wisconsin’s constitution.
Hi, I’m State Senator Jesse James. When this proposal came before the State Senate this session, I voted YES because I believe that Wisconsinites should have the opportunity to voice their opinion on whether government should be able to close places of worship, even during so-called “emergencies.”
This simple principle, that you should get to live your life how you want to, especially when it comes to your religious beliefs, is one of the core ideas that this country was founded on.
